At 1BOX, you can safely store most household items. This includes furniture, moving boxes, clothes, bicycles, archives, sports equipment, and seasonal items. Electrical appliances are also permitted, provided they are empty, clean, and dry. Dangerous or illegal goods such as flammable substances, explosives, gas cylinders, fireworks, chemical agents, weapons, drugs, and stolen goods are not allowed. Perishable foods and live animals may also not be stored. If you are unsure about a specific item, you can always contact us for advice.
For a two-bedroom house, you typically need between 6 and 10 m² of storage space. This depends on the amount of furniture, the number of boxes, and how efficiently you stack. For a complete household inventory with large furniture such as a sofa, beds, and wardrobes, you often need closer to 8 to 10 m². If you only store a portion of your belongings, 6 m² may already be sufficient. The 1BOX team will be happy to help you estimate the right amount of space.
Yes, at 1BOX you can find various types of packing materials at several locations. This includes moving boxes, protective covers, tape, and other useful tools to safely store your belongings. This way, you don't have to arrange everything yourself beforehand and can get started right away.
That's no problem. If your situation changes, you can easily switch to a smaller or larger storage unit, depending on availability. This way, you never pay for more space than you need, and your storage remains flexible.
At 1BOX, there is a minimum rental period of one month; after that, you rent on a monthly basis, after which you can flexibly cancel or extend with a notice period of 15-45 days. This makes personal storage ideal for both temporary and longer-term storage, for example, during a move, renovation, or lack of space at home.
